Mondelēz – Joy Fills

My creative partner recommended me not showing this project in my portfolio, but I had too much fun making it and I am a believer of showing projects that didn’t turn out that well too so here it goes:

Mondelēz asked us to help them launch a new product called Joy Fills which is a light snack similar to a cereal with flavours from their biggest power brands like Oreo or Cadbury.

We created a series of eye candy fun social assets for the global launch of the product and we worked with Buck in New York to make them. Working with them was a pleasure and was awesome to see their process and top notch animation work.

We also created a 30″ launch film.

We created oversized models of the cookies and Buck 3D scanned lots of them to create a realistic assortment of cookies to animate the films with.

It was cool to visit Buck and see how they work. They shot some sections of the film in stop motion to use as reference in the 3D animation. The initial concepts and colors proposed by Buck were stunning, but we stripped back and simplified as the project evolved.

Buck were awesome and mega professional to work with, even if the project didn’t turn out to be what we wanted.

It’s always rewarding for my belly to visit NYC and the best meals of the production were a Lobster Roll at Mary’s Fish Camp, the Tacos at Atla and some Peking Duck in Chinatown.

I worked on this project as Art Director at Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam with Boaz Frankel as copywriter and Sean Condon as Creative Director.
