Dazed & Confused – Photographs

When I lived in Barcelona I used to take loads of lo-fi trashy pictures with a Fujifilm Instax and a Nikon FG. Dazed saw some of my pictures online and reached out to shoot some bands that played at Primavera Sound at the time.

The first band I photographed was Glass Candy, which was a band from The Chromatics frontman Johny Jewel. Their manager and them were super nice. We chatted about a band they loved that had a member from the Canary Islands, my homeland and we were all excited to see Wu-Tang Clan that night at the festival. I just snapped a couple of quick shots in their hotel and they later sent me a super nice box with lots of records and t-shirts. The pictures were used for the digital and print versions of the magazine.

The second band was Samaris, a super young and cool band from Iceland. They were selected by the legendary Sugarcubes to be featured in the magazine. We just spent an evening walking around the Ciutadella Park in Barcelona chatting and taking some images for the magazine.
