A Traveling Art Director

Sometime around 2014 I was a bit bored and I quit my job in Barcelona to become A Traveling Art Director. I worked for short periods of time in Estonia, Serbia and Japan. After loving the experience, I made this video to get more jobs in cool places around the world but I ended up getting hired by W+K Amsterdam instead.

In Japan I worked at Mori-Inc. I met some really cool nice people. I ate cold ramen, bee jam, squid ink ice cream and all sorts of weird stuff. Lots of strangers bought me drinks. I bought loads of videogames. I visited some awesome anime and videogame art exhibitions. I had my own portable wifi. I went to gorgeous sounding vinyl cocktail bars. I saw a robot paint. I drank highballs, hot sake and what not. I saw the coolest water brand design ever and so so so so so so much more. I love Japan.

In Belgrade I met some awesome warm people too. I got to learn about the history of the balkans and how to pronounce Kusturica. I stayed in my landlady’s home for a week. She made a lot of Serbian food for me. I went to a freezing cinema run in an abandoned building. I got an allergic reaction to ibuprofen and had to rush to the hospital and so much more…

In Estonia I worked at Der Tank. I met some awesome people here too! We worked for a wine brand that was trying to grow grapes up there in the cold mixing different types of vines. Maria Minerva gave me her signed vinyl records and I went to her concert. I experienced an awesome community of young people doing really cool things and so much mooooore.

It was a pretty powerful cool experience!
